MarketSpace Concepts Spring Break for rue21

by MarketSpace, March 23rd, 2012 in Print, Signage

Spring break came early at MarketSpace! Because this year’s trend is bold colors, the hues of bright blues and oranges have been filling our offices since the end of January, when we began concepting and designing creative for the fashion-forward season for our retail client, rue 21.

As the first chance to introduce the spring line, MarketSpace made sure to make an impact with bright splashes of color. Our creative team ate, slept and drank all-things retreat-like (non-alcoholic, of course) as they designed endless elements for the line, including interior signage, exterior signage, logos, window clings and coupons for the national retailer. All of these integral elements feature a call-to-action and price points for in-demand items essential to teens’ spring break 2012 excursions, including dresses, denim, shorts and flip flops.

Aside from inspiring everyone to get spring fever, MarketSpace designed the creative to entice rue’s target audiences with a colorful, lakeside vibe and to achieve the retailer’s goals of successfully introducing the line, increasing sales and driving website traffic. So get out to the stores and enjoy spring break, everyone, because we’re already on to summer!

MarketSpace Helps rue21 “Make its Move” with Intense Fragrance Launch

by MarketSpace, October 20th, 2011 in Branding, Signage

A strategic, memorable marketing mix is key to get noticed when promoting a fragrance – a segment where options are abundant. Recently retail brand rue21, a longtime client of MarketSpace, asked us to help launch its new fragrance for guys, called Intense.

The fragrance, encased in an indestructible rubber holder, is geared towards the popular, attractive, active and athletic man – “the guy every guy wants to be.”  With a tagline of “Make your move,” the fragrance communicates the idea that with this scent, you can make your move “fast,” “bold,” “out the door” or “on the court.”

MarketSpace created promotional signage including bag stuffers and a store-entry pedestal to help launch the fragrance. Users can “be the man” and take a photo with the life-size image and upload photos to the rue21 Facebook page for an interactive, fun, memorable brand experience that is sure to resonate with the targeted generation.

Every Jean Has a Story

by MarketSpace, July 14th, 2011 in Digital Marketing, Print, Signage

Think about your favorite pair of jeans.

They might be your favorite because they remind you of a funny memory. Perhaps they make you feel like you can rule the world. Or you might have five favorite pairs, and each reminds you of something different. Regardless of what the memory is, or how many you have, every jean has a story. This is the concept that we developed for our client rue21’s Back to School denim campaign. Read more »

rue21 reels in spring break with a throw-back look

by MarketSpace, April 13th, 2011 in Print, Signage

It’s been a while since we featured our rue21 work on IdeaSpace, and we thought it was time to give another shout out to our favorite fashion retail client.

We’ve worked on some really fun campaigns for rue21 over the holidays and into the new year. But the work we did for spring break 2011 had us all wanting to hit the beach in high fashion. Maybe it’s our desire to relive our college years. Or maybe the signage was just that good! (We say it’s a little of both.) Read more »
